Peninsula-Silicon Valley chapter is the union of three former chapters: Peninsula-Palo Alto, Silicon Valley (until 2000 known as the San Jose chapter) and Salinas Valley-Monterey. Salinas Valley-Monterey has had an on-and-off existence and much of their history has been lost. Peninsula-Palo Alto and Silicon Valley both have long, rich legacies. Peninsula-Palo Alto and Silicon Valley have always been sister chapters – twin chapters in fact as we were originally the same chapter until 1962. Like siblings will do sometimes we cooperated, sometimes competed, and sometimes fought, but when the chips were down we were always there for each other. This page was set up to honor them.
